Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Peers:
I have heard discouragement from my boss in the past. I formed together with a group of ideas and began to pitch it when my boss answered that he never asked me to sign up for it.
How I responded:
By affirming to myself that I am the profit. We are all our own profits with many talents. So in order to deal with such discouragement, one has to go through life with confidence in their own self.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Growing up as a first-generation college student, I was able to take the initiative and seek out resources that eventually would make my life in an unknown setting easier.
Engineering concepts were new to me. Had to get comfortable working with classmates and seeking guidance for help.
