Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Society in general:
One of the hardest hurdles to over come in this field (veterinary medicine) is having a lot of people say you aren't "cut out" for it. It is a very demanding career choice both mentally and physically but it is so rewarding.
How I responded:
Never let people tear you down. Use the negativity like bricks underneath you and let them build you higher. You are the only person in charge of your motion.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Being a first generation college student as well as a first generation immigrant on my fathers side (2nd generation on my mothers side) has been tough because my parents didn't have any knowledge of the process, commitment both financially.
