How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
Messages from Parents:
"Why do you want to go to this college?", "You have other choices, why not those?", "Who do you think you are writing a book?"
How I responded:
I asked him to allow me to make this decision because it was my future. I will be the one that has to live with the decision. As far as the book, that was a statement by someone I thought was a friend. I realized that I was more than capable based on the experience I had. I do not allow others opinion of me to prevent me from accomplishing the goals and dreams I have for my life. YOU determine how your life will be. Listen to positive advice. Ignore those that are negative.
