2.
Graduated High School, not taking the idea of college very seriously.
3.
Got into Randolph Macon, made a lot of friends, but the curriculum didn't fit what I wanted to do.
4.
Transferred to Old Dominion University, enjoyed the change of scenery and school change.

6.
Got a job a few months later with Capital One.
Defining Moments
How I responded to discouragement
THE NOISE
I feel as if no one discouraged me from the path I took. The biggest doubter of what I could accomplish was myself. I was determined to be the first one in my family to finish college and I did. I look forward to growing more in my current career.
How I responded:
Just find a goal, plan out what needs to be done to accomplish that goal, reach out to others who have achieved what you're aiming to do, get advice from them, and just go for it.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
At this point in the world, everyone is going to college. The basic requirement for a lot of jobs besides manual labor requires some college experience. You owe it to yourself to give it a try even if you only go for a 2 year degree.
