My path in life took a while to figure out
1.
I completed high school, but didn't have anyone pushing me to go to college.
2.
I had my first child at an early age.
3.
I worked at a number of dead end jobs paying very little money.
4.
Finally got a job at Capital One as a Customer Service Associate.
5.
After working at Capital One for a year, I moved on to another team.
6.
I started college to major in Accounting and Finance.
7.
I'm currently a Process Coordinator and plan to finish college to obtain my degree.

I overcame my noise by not believing what others were saying and just pushing for a better job opportunity.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
I was barely making ends meet since my income was low and I had to take care of my child and bills. I overcame this obstacle by networking and applying at great companies with the hope of getting a better job, which I did. Persistence is key.
