Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Peers:

Teachers don't get paid any real money

  • How I responded:

I feel so good when I see a student I have helped/taught come to me with thanks. It is the best feeling in the world. Not only have I helped that student but I have also helped the next generation. I feel like my life has purpose.

Experiences and challenges that shaped me

  • My dad was a shoe shine man. We did not have excessive amounts of money so I went into debt with student loans but that is fine because I get paid enough to pay it back now including my bills and vacation every two years.
