Life & Career Milestones
I've taken a lot of twists and turns
1.
Developed a passion for computers and film as a child.
2.
Took college computer programming classes in high school.
3.
The programming I learned was boring so I decided to enroll in art school in media arts.
4.
Graduated in 2008 when the economy tanked. Could not find a video editing job anywhere.
5.
Worked as a call center phone operator in 2009 for two years.
6.
2 years later I quit. Walked dogs. Painted houses. Started a design company.
7.
Closed the design company and started taking any film/tv related job I could get.
8.
As of 2014, freelance full-time as a video editor w/ 50+ credits & work w/ amazing people everyday.

You shouldn't pass up a high paying job even if you don't like it because it may not come at you again.
How I responded:
I reminded myself many times that the most important thing to life is how much you enjoy it. In my belief you only have one of them and better to make the most of it. I have spent my time trying to find a place in society for my talents and have done so. I succeeded in this mainly because I persevered, kept my head up, respected others, listened, and mostly just remained as confident as possible yet humble. People take notice of these things and will just want to work with you.
Experiences and challenges that shaped me
Coming from a poor family makes college hard to afford, but there are tons of grants that you can earn, work study jobs, and if you need low interest gov't loans. Just make sure you know what you want to study first!
I actually was born in Germany and am of Hungarian descent, but I came over to the United States when I was 4. We were very poor but my parents always pushed for excellence in school and it paid off!
