Defining Moments

How I responded to discouragement

  • THE NOISE

    Messages from Family:

I honestly never encountered any noise. I was always told I should never ever give up and strive to be the best I can be. I was always encouraged to pursue an education and to stop at nothing to be successful.

  • How I responded:

Regardless of what anyone says, it's up to you to decide how you want to live your life and pursue your dreams. I always kept my goals my main focus, and I never let anything derail me from getting what I wanted out of life. Education, obtaining a career, having a family were all obtainable goals, it just took time to get them, but the wait is well worth the sacrifice.
