My path in life has been direct
1.
Had passion for graphic design and art.
2.
Majored in biology and got bored.
3.
Talked to my twin and he told me about the school of communications and what it offered.
4.
Switched my major.
5.
Graduated, moved to NYC, couch surfed for a while.
6.
Moved to GA because I was broke.
7.
Got a job doing some graphic design and some IT.
8.
Ditched IT, and took the design route. Then segued into Marketing.

Identify what you like, then find someone to help you translate that into a job. You need to learn what job types are out there before you can make a choice. The key is identifying your interests first.
