Advice for getting started
There were people in my life that doubted my career path, telling me that I'd be better off with a typical nine-to-five office job. However, I knew I wouldn't be happy in a career like that. I wanted to be outside and work with my hands. Despite skepticism from friends and family, I built a fulfilling and sustainable career, proving that passion and perseverance can lead to success. And I've found more than just stability—I've also found peace of mind.

My background in earth and building, which started when I was 17, has shaped my entire career.

I began my journey with Cal-Earth as a long-term apprentice and was captivated by the innovative architecture and sustainability.

I ultimately became the programs director at Cal-Earth, where I oversee workshops and teach sustainable building techniques.

I’ve also pursued multiple certifications, including permaculture design and massage therapy, which enhanced my holistic approach to life and work.
